Elsie Osei-Nkansah, MD
Dr. Osei is the owner and physician at One Health Direct Primary Care. She is a Board Certified Family Practice Physician with over 10-years experience practicing in the Asheville-Arden area.
With 10years of practicing experience in our community, Dr. Osei saw the frustration and concern that many of her patients had to encounter in our current traditional medical system:
Waiting weeks to get an appointment with their doctor and spending a lot of time in the waiting room during appointments
Frustrations with surprise medical bills that show up weeks after your appointment
Not being able to see your Doctor during busy clinic hours
Delaying care due to concern for cost and associability
Starting One Health DPC allows her to fulfil her vision of primary care to her patients. She spends the time with you during your appointment and communicates directly with you between appointments. Her mission is to build a strong doctor - patient relationship that provides primary care that is tailored to you. Treating the whole person is the goal.
Our Direct Primary Care (DPC) model and small practice size allows our patients easy access to Dr. Osei for same or next day appointments when an urgent concern occurs and to provide minimal to no time in the waiting room.
As a family medicine doctor, Dr. Osei is trained in treating pediatrics, adults and the geriatric population. She offers genuine physician-patient relationships focusing on diligent medicine, relaxation, and empowering patients to improve their health and wellness.
Dr. Osei was born and raised in Accra, Ghana. She completed her medical education at East Tennessee State University-James H. Quillen College of Medicine in Johnson city, TN in 2010. She completed her Family Medicine residency at MAHEC in 2013 and has worked in Asheville/Arden since then.
In her free time, Dr. Osei loves spending time with her husband and two young children enjoying the parks and outdoors in Henderson County.
